Research and outreach to donors that support SEN (Special Education Needs) an/or youth development and employment in HK
LBA is a newly setup nonprofit with the mission to match SEN youth to corporates and jobs that fit their potential, achieving a mutually beneficial arrangement. We aim to promote workplace / community awareness and inclusion of SEN. After building some successful cases, we need to find potential donors to setup our own facility - "LBHub”. “LBHub” is a workplace allowing SEN youth to have on-job training and experience in different types of IT related work, while continuous coaching and supporting them.
The advisory board of LBA consists of a experienced psychiatrist, prestige nonprofit organization board member and corporate professional executive. We'll provide Donorpedia access and direction of conducting your research. In addition to “LBHub”, we are also looking for funding for two other small projects, 1) an IG online shopping platform for products made by SEN, and 2) a workshop + work placement experience program
Young adults with SEN are often socially challenged and confined to a future of low-level jobs. In Hong Kong, only one-third of working-age SEN individuals have a certain level of economic income. We believe all SEN individuals deserve more exciting opportunities than their perceived status quo. SEN individuals without suitable jobs also have higher possibilities of emotional or psychological instability, possibly leading to various personal, family and society issues. There’s a gap that we need to fill between for SEN youth in HK with the current education system and the needs of the future workplace. By bridging SEN individuals to society through real life on-job training and work experience, it improves their readiness for different work types in the digital world.

LBA has a mission to help young adults with SEN to connect with the community and prepare them for the real-life working environment with confidence. It serves as a link from youth to a meaningful adulthood.
