Youth Career Mentor (23 & 30 May)

Looking for a career mentor to interact with secondary students to support and develop their career exploration (experience in finance industry is preferred)

What we need

  • We are looking for career mentors with at least 2+ years of work experience to interact with a class of secondary students and provide inspiration on personal strength, career options and development strategies through a series of hands-on activities
  • Volunteers with experiences in the finance industry are especially welcome!
  • Attend two 1.5-hour mentorship meetings with students
  • Inspire students on their personality traits and career interests
  • Conduct mock interview and provide advices on career planning
  • Share resume writing and interview skills
  • You will be required to join two meetings on 23/5 and 30/5 2022. All meetings will be held from 3:45pm - 5:15pm

JA My Strength My Future is an innovative blended-learning initiative that aims to support young people’s self-exploration and enhance their readiness for tomorrow’s radically different jobs and workplaces.

Volunteer guideline will be provided by JA and a volunteer briefing session will be arranged.

Why this is important

The support from the Career Mentors will help our organization to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy and empower the youth to develop their personal action plans to further nurture their strengths.

Location

Yuen Long Merchants Association Secondary School (Per the Vaccine Pass requirement, volunteers are required to have received the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine)
