Looking for university student volunteers to guide F2-3 students on STEM projects
Project Details
What we need
- Become a University Student Volunteer of a 5-month STEM Program. All university students are welcome to apply, if you're majoring in Engineering / Science / Technology, that's a bonus to us!
- Bilingual in Cantonese and English preferred
- Work together with business volunteers to support and mentor Form 2-3 students in STEM projects
- Provide guidance to your team on ideation and innovative solution development
- Being trained about design thinking approach, and guide the team in applying the design thinking approach on their project
Background
The program is a STEM-focused social innovation program for junior secondary students. The program aims to broaden students’ interest and learning of various STEM disciplines and encouraging them to co-create innovative solutions that helps transform Hong Kong into a pioneer smart city. Throughout the 5-month program, each team (6-7 F2-3 students) will be mentored by business volunteers and supported by university student volunteers. What we have
Student will (1) receive professional Design Thinking training (2) develop your leadership and mentoring skills (3) network and work together with business volunteer (4) receive a certificate of recognition and honorarium upon completion of the program
