What we need

• Join us for a site visit to the Proposed area in Happy Valley; there will be one site visit on a weekday, which can be arranged with the volunteer
• The ideal volunteer should be a certified building surveyor or have extensive experience in the industry
• Detail the essential elements and criteria needed to complete the Land Use Proposal
• Assist in drafting a comprehensive Land Use Proposal, ensuring it adheres to all necessary guidelines and criteria

Background

ILM Foundation is assisting an EM NGO to apply for land use of a government vacant site. With the goal of renovating the area and structure at this proposed site to become an Ethnic Minority Community Hub. This center will serve as a multisectoral hub capable of hosting religious gatherings, cultural festivals, social services, health care, legal advice, and vocational training. Additionally, it will provide a platform to enhance communication and cooperation between ethnic minority communities and Hong Kong society.

This is crucial for ethnic minorities in HK to find a space where they can do community gatherings and learning programs that is accessible and suitable for their needs.
