Provide logistics and guest service at our first-ever Fundraising Gala at Conrad Hotel
Project Details
What we need
- One volunteer will work from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm, while the rest will work from 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
- Join a call to learn more about ImpactHK's gala and everyone's roles
- Handling beverages
- Spotting and taking down bids during auctions and pledges
- Guiding guests or flagging hotel staff if needed
- General assistance during the event
- Assisting at the reception desk
- Packing up
Background
ImpactHK is hosting its first-ever gala to support people experiencing homelessness. Join the kindness movement and help us to make a successful fundraising gala!
What we have
We will organize a briefing session so all volunteers know their roles and what will be happening that night.
Why this is important
Funds raised through the ImpactHK Kindness Gala will help ImpactHK continue to support people experiencing homelessness through things like shelter, health programs, finding community, employment, etc.

Causes
What we do
We work with people experiencing homelessness to help them settle in a safe home, restore their mental and physical wellbeing, build their self-esteem, increase their social capital and discover their purpose. To do this we provide direct holistic support to people experiencing homelessness and empower them to transform their lives. At the same time we build community connections to increase collective understanding of homelessness and empathy towards the people who experience it. We also address the systemic issues that cause the housing crisis and stand up with those who lack the basic human right to safe housing.
