Seeking mature female volunteers to support women who experienced homelessness and recovering from drug use

What we need
- We're looking for mature female volunteers to help build a sense of community among several women who used to experience homelessness and are recovering from drug use
- Our clients/beneficiaries are taking part in our co-living project. We're looking for 1 volunteer per shift, the time and date is flexible and can be coordinated further individually
- Play boardgames / team building games with women in our shelter
Background
We have recently launched a women's co-living project. This pilot project will enable a handful of female clients to not only find shelter, but also give them an opportunity to see personal growth in their lives. We are recruiting several volunteers who will take turns (1 volunteer every other week) helping out.

Why this is important
Volunteers will help clients reconnect with their community, and create an environment that will help them grow.

Causes
What we do
We work with people experiencing homelessness to help them settle in a safe home, restore their mental and physical wellbeing, build their self-esteem, increase their social capital and discover their purpose. To do this we provide direct holistic support to people experiencing homelessness and empower them to transform their lives. At the same time we build community connections to increase collective understanding of homelessness and empathy towards the people who experience it. We also address the systemic issues that cause the housing crisis and stand up with those who lack the basic human right to safe housing.
