Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association (HKAAA) presents the 11th edition of Cultural Leadership Summit – “Value Creation in the Changing Game”. The 3-day conference will be held from 25 to 27 August, 2021. Despite the easing of the recent COVID-19 situation, the Summit will be an online event this year to align with the government’s proactive measures. The Summit consists of numerous workshops and symposiums, focusing on how arts practitioners can adapt to the changes in this unprecedented time as art events are brought to a halt around the world. Under the ‘new normal’, arts practitioners, artists and arts organizations have remained active in connecting audiences via various formats. During this time, the arts sector has become more digitalized than ever, taking projects online and offline simultaneously to create a multi-dimensional art environment. During the 3-day Summit, seasoned arts leaders and practitioners from around the world will share their insights on conquering limitations under the ‘new normal’ to promote and present arts via various channels. The discussions will cover arts administration, economic models, and the digitalization of art, so the industry can continue to create and benefit the public.
A briefing session will be held on 24 August 2021.
In this new era of change, it is vital for arts practitioners and arts organizations to exchange knowledge on presenting their works in innovative manners. This Summit will act as an interactive platform to explore new ways to create values in difficult times. Participants can benefit from the opportunities and possibilities brought by the ‘new normal’, thus inspire the public’s appreciation towards the arts and stimulate arts development in times of change.
