What we need
- 約30分鐘會面互相了解
- 義工簡介會將於 9月19日(四) 19:00-21:30舉行
- 協助初選工作坊的進行，帶領中學生進行分組活動，初選工作坊暫定於 9月21日(六) 12:00 - 18:00
- 與學生進行中期檢討，跟進初選進度 (時間待定)
- 整理資料冊內容及篩選新聞評述比賽文章 (時間待定)
- 設計新聞挑戰日及時事問答比賽主題活動 (時間待定)

你熱愛新聞，關心社會國家大事嗎？學友社每年舉辦嘅「全港中學生十大新聞選舉」，係一個大型新聞選舉及比賽🏆 ，每年投票中學生人逾4萬名，一直深受到中學老師、學生同埋社會各界人士嘅支持！我哋亦都非常需要你嘅支持，一齊為推動公民社會發展出一分力量！推動傳媒教育，喺服務中實踐學科嘅知識同技能，擴闊視野及思想領域。😍

Why this is important
由學友社主辦的「全港中學生十大新聞選舉」自1992年舉辦以來，一直受到中學老師、學生和社會各界人士的歡迎及支持。我們希望透過選舉投票、新聞評述比賽及一系列有關認識社會國家時事及傳媒的活動，鼓勵中學生關心及留意香港社會及國際事務之餘，更重要加強學生對國家事務的關心及意識。活動亦讓中學生參與及體驗全港性的選舉投票，從而提高中學生的社會參與和社會責任感，為公民社會的發展作出貢獻。首四屆十大新聞選舉只讓全港中四至中七學生選出香港的十大新聞；為進一步擴闊學生的國際視野，自第十一屆起候選新聞將由本地擴闊至國際新聞，令活動更具代表性、範圍更廣、形式更多；第十六屆開始增設新聞總選「中國篇」，以突顯學生對兩岸四地事務的關注︰選舉結果除了刊登於活動資料冊外，主辦單位更於12月下旬或1月上旬舉行發布會，向外界公布選舉結果及分析。歷年來，我們舉辦新聞選舉之餘，亦推陳出新，舉辦各種與社會時事相關的活動。自第五屆起增辦「新聞評述比賽」；第七屆加設「時事漫畫比賽」；第十二屆增設了「徵文比賽」及每年不同主題的「專題研習活動」，以增加中學生對傳媒及新聞製作過程的了解，並讓他們對傳媒進行反思；第十四屆更於新聞評述比賽及徵文比賽增設英文組，讓學生更關注國際議題；為了配合現今多媒體的應用，第十六屆開始同時增設「時事短片比賽」，讓同學利用短片表達自己對社會議題的看法；第十七屆開始以日營方式培訓公民教育領袖。第十九屆則設立「專題特寫比賽」，讓學生以生動及創意的表達方式，深入思考社會時事議題。

What we do
Hok Yau Club is a charitable institution and a limited company incorporated in Hong Kong. The Club established in 1949, and “Accompanying Students” for over 70 years. We aim at nurturing students and youths, not only fulfil the need of community and student, but also cultivate talents of wide scope and with multiple thinking for future Hong Kong. Hok Yau Club has well-established reputations among students, parents, teachers and schools. We serve more than 1.5 million people each year through our various services. With years of experiences in nurturing youths, Hok Yau Club mainly focuses on three aspects nowadays, namely Students Guidance Services, Career and Life Planning Education and All-round Development. We will focus on Career and Life Planning and Greater China development services, assist students building their future and grasping the career opportunity. Like the torch on the club logo, we pilot the youths and enable them to light up the social development in the future.
