Project Details

What we need
  • Access the online platform of an interactive game on "Twinery.org" where you will be working in an HTML-based platform.
  • Translate the English version of our game to Traditional Chinese from the online platform.
  • Coordinate with our project management team to ensure translations are clear and engaging.
  • **NOTE: no actual coding is required, but an understanding of HTML and a high comfort level working with IT-related tools and platforms.**
Background

FirstHand, a six-session programme, aims to inspire young people to broaden their channels of empathy, as they immerse themselves into the hypothetical lives of foreign domestic workers in Hong Kong. We are looking for a volunteer who can help us create a (translated) Traditional Chinese version of our interactive "Twine" game. No actual coding is required, but an understanding of HTML and a high comfort level working with IT-related tools and platforms.

What we have

Login credentials to our interactive game on our online platform "Twinery.org", which will contain the complete English version of our game.

Why this is important

This online translation work will help HELP for Domestic Workers expand the reach of its advocacy to the children of local Hong Kong communities, in a fun and creative way!

What we do

HELP for Domestic Workers is an NGO working on the frontlines to support migrant domestic workers to gain access to justice and fair and equal treatment in Hong Kong. Since 1989, we have supported migrant domestic workers through advice, assistance, education and empowerment. We equip the employers of domestic workers with knowledge and awareness so that they can build a mutually beneficial relationship with their domestic workers.
