Background

HELP for Domestic Workers’s MeHeal Programme offers 1on1 counselling and group counselling services provided by counsellors on a pro bono basis to support migrant domestic workers who are facing mental health challenges.

What we have

(1) Briefing from the HELP team; (2) Guidelines for counsellors; (3) Additional tools & resources and (4) Venue if needed

Why this is important

Through the MeHeal programme, we support domestic workers who are facing mental health challenges. Through counselling services, domestic workers develop the tools to regulate their emotions and engage in self-care during times of adversity and therefore are in a better position to enforce their rights.

What we do

HELP for Domestic Workers is an NGO working on the frontlines to support migrant domestic workers to gain access to justice and fair and equal treatment in Hong Kong. Since 1989, we have supported migrant domestic workers through advice, assistance, education and empowerment. We equip the employers of domestic workers with knowledge and awareness so that they can build a mutually beneficial relationship with their domestic workers.
