Project Details

What we need
  • Conceptualise and implement marketing and communications initiatives and campaigns
  • Designing and presenting new social media campaign ideas. Monitoring all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback
  • Contributing to creating mock-ups, e-newsletters, and other marketing content (interns with experience using Canva preferred!)
  • Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and activities for marketing and communications
  • Working with vulnerable interviewees and confidential information
  • Work with us 3-5 days per week full day (10am-6pm), but we're happy to offer flexible day/hours
  • Internship period: 6 weeks - half year, please list your availability when applying
Background

HELP for Domestic Workers is committed to supporting migrant domestic workers to gain access to justice and receive fair and equal treatment under the law in Hong Kong. Since HELP is operated by a small team, we rely a lot on volunteers and interns to help us achieve our mission.

What we have

Briefing, coaching, supervising by our Marketing team. We will also provide office laptop (if needed).

Why this is important

By interning with us, you will help empower domestic workers and employers to build mutually beneficial employment relationships and build their resilience in the face of crisis. This enhances their access to justice and equitable solutions ensuring better life-changing outcomes.

What we do

HELP for Domestic Workers is an NGO working on the frontlines to support migrant domestic workers to gain access to justice and fair and equal treatment in Hong Kong. Since 1989, we have supported migrant domestic workers through advice, assistance, education and empowerment. We equip the employers of domestic workers with knowledge and awareness so that they can build a mutually beneficial relationship with their domestic workers.
