Domestic Workers Yoga Classes Support
We are looking for volunteers to support in our physical well-being yoga classes
Project Details
What we need
- Attend a 1 hour free yoga class for migrant domestic workers on Sundays
- Communicate closely with our team in English
- Help to take attendance, ensure that participants fill in a form, take photos throughout the class, and ensure that the venue is left in good and clean conditions
- Volunteer can choose which Sunday to participate
- Schedule will be provided during the briefing call
Background
HELP creates a free MeHeal (Mind and Body Healing) service to help Migrant Domestic Workers to improve their mental health since we found out that 72% of them show symptoms of depression. One of the branch activities of MeHeal is yoga classes.

Why this is important
With the assistance of volunteers, we aim to enhance the physical well-being of migrant domestic workers, leading to an improvement in their mental health. This, in turn, will equip them with the necessary mental resilience to confront the challenges of life.

What we do
HELP for Domestic Workers is an NGO working on the frontlines to support migrant domestic workers to gain access to justice and fair and equal treatment in Hong Kong. Since 1989, we have supported migrant domestic workers through advice, assistance, education and empowerment. We equip the employers of domestic workers with knowledge and awareness so that they can build a mutually beneficial relationship with their domestic workers.
