What we need

• Revise our internal policies for volunteers and administrative members
• Research on jurisdictional issues relating to the organisation
• Research on operational matters for the furtherance of the call service
• Volunteers should be pursuing or have completed a qualifying law degree in Hong Kong or in other common law jurisdictions
• Join us for an one-hour call to learn more about our project objectives and our organization

Background

Heartline Hong Kong is a student-led organization dedicated to promoting and enhancing mental well-being among young adults. We provide free peer-to-peer listening services every night from 7pm to 5am the next day, the time when youngsters are more in need of emotional support. Since our launch in September 2021, we have provided support to more than 4,000 callers.

What we have

The existing agreements will be provided. We will provide more information about our expectations during the briefing call, as well as the nature of our volunteer work.

Why this is important

The agreements will help us establish firm expectations for volunteers. Our volunteers are critical to our work, and we have approximately 80 active volunteers.
