What we need
- Join a short briefing session to go through terms of activity
- Make 'Caring calls' to the elderly in specific communities
- Liaise with our staff to ensure that service users are receiving the right donated items
Background
We are launching our Caring Call programme and need compassionate and skilled speakers to help us reach out to the community.
What we have
We are working in partnership with local district councillors who are providing us with contact information for at risk individuals. This information will be provided on the night.We will provide a short script with a series of important questions we need to ask. It is important, however, that individuals are aware coming into this volunteer position that being confident in engaging with the elderly is an essential skill.
Why this is important
In reaching out to more people Green Hour is able to create a stronger relationship with the community, allowing us to support more service users.
