What we need

• Join us for a briefing to learn more about our organization and the project details
• Update the design of the F&B Playbook (English and Chinese versions, 132 pages each) - based on the the original design that used Canva
• Ensure both versions are print-ready as professional documents
• Collaborate with the team for feedback and revisions if needed
• Monitor the design for consistency and quality across both versions
• Ensure that the final versions meet our branding and design standards

Background

We need a volunteer to assist with updating the design of the F&B Playbook, an essential resource created for chefs, F&B directors, and business owners. The Playbook provides practical advice and real-life examples on reducing food waste in F&B operations, developed in collaboration with TREEHOUSE, a pioneer in sustainable food businesses. The volunteer will update both the English and Chinese versions (each 132 pages) using Canva or other means, ensuring the design is professional and ready for printing.

What we have

We will provide the volunteer with access to Canva and Company google drive, where the current versions of the F&B Playbook are stored. The volunteer will also have access to our branding guidelines, previous project examples, and any necessary templates. Additionally, we will offer guidance on how to ensure the final versions are print-ready, and the volunteer will have regular check-ins for feedback and clarification.

Why this is important

This project will strengthen capacity building for small and medium enterprises in the industry by enabling us to distribute physical copies of the F&B Playbook, especially since many F&B practitioners do not frequently use computers or digital resources. The project is critical for ensuring that our F&B Playbook—a key resource for our hospitality partners—is professionally designed and print-ready. A well-designed and cohesive Playbook will improve communication with our partners, streamline the onboarding of new hospitality partners, and reinforce our commitment to quality and professionalism. Ultimately, this will help us maintain and enhance our reputation in the industry.
