What we need

• Create a media and communications strategy for our Europe chapter from scratch
• Create a marketing plan for the next 18 months with LinkedIn as main channel with three goals: increase applications to our mentoring programs, attendance to our events and increase donations
• Offer your professional advice on how to best utilize the content we already have
• 5+ years of experience in client social media marketing strategy positions is preferred

Background

GWC has some brand awareness and recognition in China and HK. A new chapter is coming together in Europe thanks to a group of dedicated seasoned professionals in different countries and with diverse backgrounds. The new GWC Europe chapter needs to find a way to showcase its unique approach to GWC's mission (unleashing the potential of women at any stage of their lives). The team in Europe also needs to determine the best way to position the flagship mentoring program in order to increase the number of European applicants. Increasing attendance to online and offline events and boosting donations are also key goals in the short to medium term. The key deliverables are the strategy and the marketing plan, both starting from scratch. GWC Europe would also like to have some ideas about branding. Currently, there is no specific tone of voice, but it should sound more professional or senior than the GWC global brand. LinkedIn will be the main channel, and understanding how to maximize its potential will be another important aspect.

What we have

You will work closely with a member of the Executive Committee (Exco) based in Europe who will be your main point of contact. You will meet the rest of the Exco, who will brief you on the mission, vision, and objectives and provide you with the necessary information and answers. Our team in China can walk you through their current marketing plan as both teams are still closely connected at this stage.

Why this is important

GWC is about unleashing women's potential, regardless of the stage of life they are in. There are different interpretations of that mission, and a specific concept is required for the European chapter. The team there has some scattered and unfocused ideas. Having someone ask the right questions and structure the answers will provide the European Exco team with the building blocks for the launch in Europe, increasing outreach and ultimately empowering more women to drive positive change. GWC volunteers involved in marketing and events are eager to learn how to measure campaigns and create content. Supporting them in their learning will boost morale and engagement.
