Background

ENGin is looking for volunteers aged 14-25 to serve as speaking buddies for international students. This is a super-flexible and unique opportunity to make a difference without leaving your room. Plus, you'll get to know peers across the world!Here's how it works: we'll pair you up with a Ukrainian student to video chat each week at times that are convenient for you. We match students and volunteers based on age, interests, and schedules. All of our students have a basic knowledge of English. Why this is important

Our volunteers are our superpower - ENGin could not exist without them! We currently have more than 2000 volunteers from 40+ countries who help Ukrainian students improve their spoken English. We believe that practicing English with a buddy your age is an effective, unique way to improve speaking skills. The chance to meet a peer across the world is a huge motivator for our students. So, just by meeting with a buddy and practicing English once a week, our volunteers can make a huge impact. After just a few months, our students’ English fluency improves and they gain confidence and learn to communicate across cultures.
