What we need

Join us for a briefing session on 18 Oct (7-8pm)
Looking for 15 volunteers who have experiences in reducing plastics wastes in Circular Economy
As a mentor, you will be having a 20-30 minutes meeting with student project teams during the period of 20-28 Oct to facilitate with their project ideation
Share experience and advice with student project teams in the stage of their project ideation

Background

There will be a 2.5-day Hybrid Hackathon in Circular Economy x Social Innovation in plastics wastes reduction in Hong Kong from 29 October 2021 to 31 October 2021 that funded by Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF) and Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC). The Hackathon aims to bring together students, and industry leaders in sustainability to come up with a better solution for a better world.Before the Hackathon starts, mentors share experience and advice with student project teams in their project ideation.

What we have

(1) Volunteer guide and briefing session will be provided before the project starts (2) Team support from Enactus Hong Kong

Why this is important

Mentoring session is one of the important stages for student project teams to ideate their project idea. It helps Enactus Hong Kong to implement more projects with sustainability elements to create an actual impact on society and the world.

What we do

We hope to empower students with entrepreneurial spirits and tackle social problems together in a sustainable manner. We have established 10 chapters in different tertiary institutes with more than 1200 enthusiastic students. Students at our chapters initiate their own social projects and we evaluate its impact every year in the form of competitions. Each year we allow the representatives of each university to get into our Regional Competition, and winners can proceed to the National Round and then the World Cup. We hope that the projects would achieve social, economical and environmental sustainability.
