What we need

• Join us for a 30 minutes call to learn more about our organisation and event details
• Help with taking video footages during the event on 25 July and/or 29 August (~4 hours). You can choose to join both or either 1 day
• Select footages and edit a final video and share with us within 2 weeks
• Volunteer is expected to have good video shooting skills and event experience; bring your own equipments

Background

AWEsum Care aims to promote advance care planning in Hong Kong and provides assistance to elderly individuals in preparing their advance care planning documents, including wills, advanced directives, and enduring powers of attorney. In particular, an enduring power of attorney allows individuals to appoint a trusted individual to manage their financial affairs in the event they lose capacity. Why this is important

Despite Hong Kong having over two million people over the age of 60, only a few thousand enduring powers of attorney have been registered, which raises concerns about accessing patient assets to cover medical and living expenses. Free witnessing days help elderly to sign an enduring powering attorney which allows them to enjoy a better elderly life.
