Background

This is the grand opening of Di-Comm as a newborn social enterprise including a drag show and pre-show educational workshop collaborated with other student organisation. The Show encourages the local youth to be themselves beyond the limitations given by reality (gender stereotypes etc.), in the meantime, to provide them with opportunities to be exposed to drag culture. Participants screened to be in the show are all without drag-related experience and most of them are youth.

Why this is important

Diversity in Community Limited is a newborn local social enterprise promoting Diversity and Inclusion, especially in LGBTQ+ dimension. Drag is a way for them to go beyond masculinity, femininity or other forms of gender expression.
