Diamond Leisure Assistant Volunteer
Help assist our Diamond officer and plan outdoor programs for wheelchair-bound elderly
Project Details
What we need
- Join us for a 30 minutes call to learn more about our organization and objectives of our event
- Assist the Leisure officer in planning outdoor day programs for wheelchair-bound elderly in care homes
- Provide on-site assistance, site visits, run-downs, and contacting individuals
- Take photo to record the happy moments of the elderly during the activities
- We look for creative, cheerful, active volunteers who are willing to communicate with the elderly
- Interested volunteers could become Diamond Leisure Officer after volunteering
- Volunteer can choose to assist 1 to 4 events per month
Background
Elderlies usually stay in nursery home all day. Our activities want to brighten their lives by take them for half day out to see and feel how beautiful Hong Kong is.
What we have
We will provide volunteers a briefing on expectations, objectives and technics etc. Also, we will arrange activities for the interested Volunteers to assist the officers in learning how to become a Diamond Leisure Officer.
Why this is important
To promote wheelchair-accessible tourism, raise awareness, collaborate with industry stakeholders, assess accessibility, develop wheelchair-friendly guides, promote inclusive design, empower local communities, and advocate for policy changes.
