What we need

• Join us for a briefing session to discuss content, format and schedule
• Select suitable raw footage from our database (more content will be available in the coming months)
• Edit selected footages into an introductory video for the organisation
• Submit drafts and revise according to the team's comments
• Post-production: adding bilingual subtitles, logos and credits
• Additional task (based on the volunteer's preferences and experience): filming artisan interviews

Background

Crafts on Peel is a charitable organization to revive, reinterpret and perpetuate Hong Kong’s traditional craftsmanship. Through crafts exchange, we create opportunities for skill and knowledge transfer to nurture the younger generation to incorporate traditional craft techniques into innovative contemporary design. We hope to develop programs to enhance the appreciation of craftsmanship, but also to show how traditional crafts can be juxtaposed with our modern lifestyles in a way that celebrates our cultural heritage.

What we have

Branding guidelines, footage databases, draft rundown of the videos will be provided. The volunteers will directly report to and work closely with the Team.

Why this is important

The making of videos records the traditional craftsmanships and the introduction of artisans. Crafts on Peel strive to preserve the knowledge of local craftsmanship and culture, the videos are of great importance.
