Support our booth operation at HKJSSP Psychology & Mental Health Fair 2023
Project Details
What we need
- Join a 30 min briefing call to learn more about our organisation and event
- Arrive on-site at 10am to kickstart the event
- Coordinate in Care Bear's booth on at Central Market (Checkouts, handling inquiries, booth set-up and dismantle, etc.)
- Provide general guidance to our visitors on Care Bear's missions & services
Background
Care Bear focuses on mental health mobilisation to build peer-support and resilience among youth in face of challenges. To facilitate mental health awareness and integrate gamified solutions to connect individuals going through hardship.

Why this is important
Care Bear is a youth-led mental health start-up creating unique gamified solutions for the public. Every youth engaged as our volunteer empowers a collective voice toward improving mental wellness with more sustainable solutions and peer accountabillity in Hong Kong, and beyond.

Causes
What we do
Care Bear incorporates technology with the human touch in a hybrid format to build peer-support among youth with depression. Given the prevalence of mental health problems among youth, students report feeling isolated when emotional buffers become less accessible under COVID-19. Through targeting negative cognitions, the venture early detects and alleviates the symptoms of depression among at-risk youth. Care Bear, consisting of a game-based app and a customized care package service, utilizes the S.M.A.R.T. goals framework, and includes online anonymous pairing and physical features to foster resilience and mutual empowerment.
