Join our home visit day to interact and exercise with the seniors to share the joy of X'mas!
Project Details
What we need
- Join our briefing right before the home visit (head coach will be teaching you a few exercise to do with elderlies)
- Visit elderly's home, talk to them and show your care, report their needs to the social workers
- Interact with elderlies and encourage / teach them to do some simple exercises at home
- Home visits will be on 2 Dec and 9 Dec
Background
Regular exercising habit is good for the body and mind, even for elderly who cannot leave home or have mobility problems. We visit the elderly at their homes regularly to help them build exercise habits and maintain their physical and mental well being.
What we have
Volunteers will have a briefing before the home visit. New volunteers will pair up with experienced volunteer.
Why this is important
Volunteers will visit the elderly regularly and teach them some simple physical exercises, and also provide cognitive training exercises for the purpose of anti-aging and improving their physical, mental and social well-beings.
