What we need

• Update our present website using Wordpress, based on a template you suggest and have selected with our team
• Suggest new features and improvements for our website and other digital tool
• We look for someone with a little experience, a good eye and lots of passion towards our cause!

Background

Everyday in Hong Kong, over 3,250 tonnes of food waste are dumped into landfills, while one in five people live in poverty and struggle to eat. Breadline is Hong Kong’s first public digital platform for food rescue. Volunteers connect with bakeries on Breadline.hk to rescue leftover bread using real-time updates to make every run count. Together, we save resources from being wasted and we support the homeless; low-income families; refugees and their children and the elderly poor, by delivering bread the same night to our grassroots partners.

What we have

We already have a website (hkfoodworks.com) which was originally meant as an individual page for the research of our chair, Daisy Tam. We need to transform this into our main charity website, now that we have received HK Charity Status. We have a web dev in our team and a couple of people who understand coding, plus a design director in our Advisory Board.

Why this is important

Our charity website will be the portal to recruit more volunteers, to provide info about us in a clear and appealing manner, to funnel donations from multi channels and to keep everyone updated about our most recent endeavors.
