Project Details

What we need
  • Conduct research and analysis of existing program policies and guidelines
  • Update our internal policy and guideline documents, including case management procedures, financial reporting, crisis response handling, etc.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of information
  • We are planning to merge our existing 2 sets of program guidelines into 1 general manual
  • Volunteers with experience on policy writing, program management will be ideal
  • All relevant documents are in English
Background

BOH is currently seeking professional i.e. skills-based volunteers or interns to assist with drafting and/or updating policies and guidelines to guide and govern the organization's operations. The person will report to the Executive Director and can work flexible hours based on own schedule.

What we have

We will share existing organisation policies and guidelines (developed 5 years ago). We have 2 sets of guidelines from two different teams and wish to compile into 1 general manual for internal staff to follow.

Why this is important

To ensure that our internal policies and guidelines are up-to-date, relevant, and adhere to best practices and legal requirements.

Branches of Hope, founded in 2012, is a tax-exempt charity under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance to restore Dignity, Justice and Hope to the marginalised and vulnerable in Hong Kong. We are dedicated to bringing changes to the refugees, asylum-seekers (non-refoulement claimants) and human trafficking survivors communities through Care, Empowerment and Social Reform. Branches of Hope has two initiatives including Refugee Opportunity and Development (ROAD) and Stop Trafficking of People (STOP).
