What we need
  • Join us for a 30 minutes call to learn more about our organization and the data and presentation of our annual report
  • Proofread and edit our annual report (approximately 8,000 words including both Traditional Chinese and English), ensure consistency in language tone and style
  • Volunteer must be proficient in both Traditional Chinese and English

Background

Branches of Hope (BOH) is a Hong Kong based non-profit organization established to serve as a beacon of hope to the most overlooked, ignored and vulnerable in our society. Based on the core values of dignity, justice and hope, BOH currently supports two separate marginalized communities: a) victims of human trafficking, and b) refugees and asylum seekers.BOH is currently seeking professional i.e. skills-based volunteers or interns to assist with drafting our Annual Report for the period 2021 – 2022 (due to be published in May 2023). The person will report to the Partnerships Manager and work several hours / days a week (negotiable).

Reference to our last annual report and draft content of our current report will be provided.

Why this is important

This is our annual report so that our benefiting units and supports will have a good summary of our work and to be able to promote our work to others.

What we do

Branches of Hope, founded in 2012, is a tax-exempt charity under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance to restore Dignity, Justice and Hope to the marginalised and vulnerable in Hong Kong. We are dedicated to bringing changes to the refugees, asylum-seekers (non-refoulement claimants) and human trafficking survivors communities through Care, Empowerment and Social Reform. Branches of Hope has two initiatives including Refugee Opportunity and Development (ROAD) and Stop Trafficking of People (STOP).
