Project Details

What we need
  • Looking for volunteers who are studying or graduated with degrees related to education, psychiatry, psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy and/or counselling
  • Patient, responsible and caring, who is a team worker and has good communication skills
  • Join us for a face-to-face training
  • Participate in our 6-week programme which focuses on assisting low-income SEN families on personal, social and emotional issues (6 sessions in total, around 3 hours per session, face-to-face)
  • 6 face-to-face sessions in total for the program (3 hours per session)
Background

We are BEE Education (“BEE”), an organisation that purports to provide parenting support to low-income families with children of special education needs to be delivered by volunteers, our “BEE Buddies”.

What we have

The BEE Buddy Program provides training and exposure to selected BEE Buddies on assisting low-income SEN families on personal, social and emotional issues and opportunities to interact with professionals practicing in relevant fields.

Why this is important

This is our 3rd year programme and we'd like to gain insights and how we can improve through this project.
