Project Details

What we need
  • Support the full farming cycle - from seeding to harvesting - and be able to help manage the farming operation for minimum 1-2 days per week (flexible hours).
  • This will be a hands-on operational role that requires commitment to a regular schedule beyond at least a six-month period. Training and coaching will be provided.
  • If you're passionate about urban farming, agriculture and sustainability, this is a golden opportunity to explore everything from indoor agriculture to outdoor aquaponics systems

Background

We are recruiting interested volunteers aspiring to learn more about urban farming and social enterprise operations that support ASD / SEN workers - to make our operation more sustainable and resililient.This will be the first of our regular intake series.

What we have

You will learn everything about basic indoor farming and / or aquaponics - from basics to more advanced operation.

Why this is important

Our operation can use more volunteers to support continuous expansion and improvement. This will enable us to serve and support more ASD / SEN individuals with more farm operation mentors and a larger inclusive team.
