Gilbert is a dynamic and results-driven professional with over 12 years of experience at Apple, where he has successfully led large cross-functional teams in spearheaded the openings and operations of flagship stores across Australia, Hong Kong, and Macau. As the Co-Chair of the Diversity Network Association (DNA) for Greater China, he championed Accessibility initiatives and unified various business units across Apple. Gilbert has a proven track record of exceeding sales goals, enhancing customer loyalty, and improving team engagement by cultivating a positive workplace environment. He has coached and influenced managers to deepen their understanding of Apple's culture, values, and strategic direction, resulting in significant improvements in overall regional success. Prior to his tenure at Apple, Gilbert effectively managed a self-storage real estate portfolio in Hong Kong totaling over 200,000 sq ft. He leveraged strategic planning, operational efficiency, and market analysis to achieve a 50% increase in asset value, resulting in an internal rate of return (IRR) of 24% for investors. In addition to his corporate achievements, Gilbert is an esteemed guest lecturer in the business administration departments of multiple universities, where he shares his insights on corporate strategy, leadership, and enhancing team performance. Gilbert holds a Master's degree from Harvard University, specialising in corporate and consumer behaviors. He also completed a Senior Executive Leadership Program at Stanford University, focusing on corporate governance, risk assessment, and business strategy. Additionally, he holds an MBA and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
