About Ann
Ann Chu is the Head of Strategic Partnerships & Business Development at Bloomberg Media in the Asia Pacific region. With extensive experience in the media industry, she has successfully driven alliances that utilize Bloomberg's brand, content, and live channels across various platforms and industries. Ann's career includes notable roles at CNN International and MTV China, and she has also contributed to coaching newsrooms on video strategies as part of Facebook's 'Video Business Accelerator' program. She holds a BA in Communications and Business as well as a Masters in Journalism, and she actively participates in philanthropic and advocacy efforts alongside her professional responsibilities.
Prior to joining Bloomberg seven years ago, Ann spent 14 years at CNN International, initially as a business journalist before moving to content licensing, broadcast sales and eventually advertising sales as Executive Director for Asia Pacific.
As a past coach for Facebook's 'Video Business Accelerator' program, she helped newsrooms across the region refine their strategies around video to grow revenue sustainably, capture new audiences and rejuvenate their brands on different platforms.
Ann began her career with MTV International, helping launch MTV China in Shanghai and leading the channel to top three ratings nationwide within six months of launch.
She has a BA in Communications and Business from the University of Southern California and a Masters in Journalism from the University of Hong Kong. She is Vice Chair of the Board of HandsOn Hong Kong, a non-profit organization supporting under-resourced local charities, Executive Sponsor for Bloomberg Media's Diversity & Inclusion community, and an advocate for mental health with the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong. She is based in Hong Kong where she lives with her husband and two sons.

No-Show Policy
For all scheduled mentoring sessions, we have a "one strike" ban policy for no-show bookings without informing the other party. Cancelling within 24 hours is also counted as no-show.
