Sam Ng is the co-founder of Fundnel, the first Asia online investment network, connecting private businesses with a community of investors. Fundnel offers fund raising service for entrepreneurs, empowering them to raise capital to fuel growth, drive innovation and create local employment. Prior to founding Fundnel, Sam worked in the Asia Investment Banking department of J.P. Morgan from 2010 to 2014, raising over US$10 billion for companies across countries in Asia Pacific via 30 transactions. He also executed a number of debt restructuring transactions, which helped distressed companies avoid imminent bankruptcy, and extended debt maturity of over US$300 million.
Prior to raising funds for clients of J.P. Morgan, Sam had worked directly with the management team in J.P. Morgan Asia since 2007, and was in the taskforce that shaped growth executions, screened strategic partners, initiated new business lines, and executed risk review and business optimization projects. Sam graduated from the University of Hong Kong with Deans Honor. He is now based in both Hong Kong and Singapore, and takes active interest in driving the capital markets for private companies in emerging economies. He is also sitting on the board of advisors of multiple technology companies, and a member of the Digital Economy Task Force of the United Nations.
