Meet Ilaria, Group Advisor for Social Impact Investments at GRAB, board director and an itinerant global speaker.
About
Ilaria Chan is currently the Group Advisor for Social Impact Investments at GRAB. Grab is South East Asia's most valuable technology unicorn startup, provides ride-hailing, food-delivery, logistics delivery, payment & financial services via its integrated tech platform. Grab is the world's 3rd largest transportation platform after Didi and Uber, operates in 8 countries, and merged with Uber's SE Asia operations in 2018.
Ilaria was formerly an Executive Director at the Sales & Trading division of Goldman Sachs New York, focusing on Asia Equities. Amongst her top transactional highlights were the Initial Public Offerings of Alibaba.com, Prada, Samsonite, Youku.com, AIA Group, Agricultural Bank of China, Maxis Berhad, Samsung Life Insurance. Ilaria provided investment recommendations on Asia markets to > 15 top tier US-based institutional funds, with a combined AUM of >US$100 Bn. She was a top quartile performer 6 years in a row, and was promoted from Analyst to Executive Director within 3.5 years. Ilaria was also selected by Goldman Sachs as an interviewer, recruiter, forum speaker and mentor for the firm’s recruitment efforts.
Ilaria is a private investor, board director for multiple charities, independent consultant, and itinerant global speaker. Miss Chan holds a B.A. from Stanford University. She is also a freelance singer, concert pianist, food critic & restaurant judge, culinary school graduate, actress in musicals & plays, amateur photographer and an avid scuba diver.
Requirements
All volunteer hours must be completed during 1 Oct 2019 to 6 May 2020.
Cost per person is SGD15 (Full-time students aged 25 or below)/ SGD25 (General Participants) to support the running costs of our charity and our mission to make volunteerism mainstream.
Dinner will be held on 13 May 2020 at 6:45pm to 9:00pm in Raffles Family Office.
