Damian Bradfield (1977) is WeTransfer’s Chief Creative Officer and Founding Shareholder in addition to Chairman of The University of the Underground. He published his book, ‘The Trust Manifesto, What You Need to do to Create a Better Internet’ with Penguin in 2019.
His multidisciplinary background has taken him from London to Cape Town, Moscow to Amsterdam. A graduate of the London School of Economics, Damian funded his degree working for Stella McCartney and fly-posting for Alexander McQueen. After graduating, he worked in design and advertising, going on to create the award-winning design and innovation studio, Present Plus.
Damian was one of the founding partners of WeTransfer. In 2015, the company took its first round of investment (series-A of $25million by HCPE), and Damian moved to LA the following year to spearhead the company’s US operations. In 2018, WeTransfer acquired popular apps Paper® and PasteTM from FiftyThree Inc. This was WeTransfer’s first acquisition of an American company and it marked the second major step in the organization’s expansion into the United States.
Damian’s professional and cultural interests include art and the role of creativity within organizations, doubt – as part of the creative and commercial process – and how ambiverts thrive in a collaborative professional world. He is an outspoken advocate for online trust, art patronage and human values in business.

All volunteer hours must be completed during 1 August 2019 to 16 January 2020.
Cost per person is GBP15 (Full-time students aged 25 or below)/ GBP25 (General Participants) to support the running costs of our charity and our mission to make volunteerism mainstream.
