Norma founded DayDayCook, the hottest culinary website across Asia, offering step-by-step instructions on how to cook Asian food recipes
About
Norma was born and raised in Hong Kong, and grew up in the US since a young age. Since graduating from The University of Washington, she worked in HSBC as an equity research analyst prior to founding DayDayCook (www.daydaycook.com). She is also a celebrity chef where her cooking videos are shown in Buzplay, and one of the hosts for the Now TV show “煮角” (Chef Corner).
Started as a food blog on the side of Norma’s former job as an equity research analyst, DayDayCook has quickly gained traction and became the hottest new culinary website across Asia, offering step-by-step instructions and videos on how to cook Asian food recipes.
What launched as a side project of sorts in 2010 has become Norma’s full-blown media career, with a team of support staff from kitchen assistants to web developers. DayDayCook now has millions of monthly views over its broad reach including website, mobile apps, videos, and books. Widely popular among young working professionals, newlyweds, mums and even dads, DayDayCook has over 380,000 fans on Facebook and is still rapidly growing across Asia.
Norma is also active in giving back to the community, as DayDayCook has collaborated with charities such as Foodlink Foundation and Cancer Fund to help raise charitable donations. In Feb 2016, DayDayCook raised Series A funding of 35 million RMB from notable investors including 500 Startups and MFund.
