Meet Lale, who has spent the last 20 years working directly with CEOs to inspire innovative and purposeful transformation in businesses.

About

Lale Kesebi is a sought-after strategist, innovator and transformation expert. As Founder & CEO of human-at.work, she helps CEOs and their teams build great businesses by designing workplaces that are high-performance and innovative, yet human-centered at their core. Over the past 20 years, Lale has led teams in over 40 countries. She has worked directly with CEOs, Chairs and senior level executives, building trust, leading transformation and executing impactfully on big ideas with committed teams influencing change in organizations. Lale began her career in Canada as a litigation lawyer ands calls Calgary, Alberta home. She has lived in Asia for 20 years and has worked in both profit and not-for profit sectors in leadership roles culminating in nearly 15 years at Li & Fung, the world’s largest supply chain management company, the last 8 years of which she was a member of the executive team leading organisational & digital transformation, building out innovation and designing the social impact of the company through purpose.

Lale is regularly invited by companies and organisations to speak on leadership, innovation, and strategy that influences transformation. Her work and that of her team has been featured in Forbes and resulted in a co-authored case in MIT’s Sloan Review. In 2017, Lale was invited to deliver the commencement address at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill's Kenan Flagler Business School. In June 2018, she gave a TED talk on “Why it’s time to bring yourself to work.” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_R0oM-1KZM). Lale has been an active Board Member on a number of Boards over the years including the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the Canadian International School of Hong Kong, The Women's Foundation in Hong Kong and as a Trustee of the Asian University for Women. She has recently joined the Advisory Board of Moxie Futures, a global impact investing start-up and is a regular mentor and advisor to start-ups and incumbent companies.

Requirements

All volunteer hours must be completed during 15 August 2018 to 15 January 2019.

Dinner will be held at The Hive Studios at 7:15-9:30pm on 24 Janurary 2019.

Cost per person is HK$150 (Full-time students aged 25 or below)/ HK$250 (General Participants) to support the running costs of our charity and our mission to make volunteerism mainstream.

Venue Sposnor:
The Hive Studios is coworking space, with a cafe area, dedicated desks, photographers booths and private offices set around one professional-sized fashion photography studio. Our aim is to build a creative coworking community of creative freelancers, photographers, writers, bloggers, editorial teams, and start-ups that find it very helpful to work with the studio and vibrant community all in one space.
