About
Emma Sherrard Matthew is the CEO of Quintessentially Lifestyle
(www.quintessentially.com), a global private Members’ club offering award-winning concierge and lifestyle management services with the motto that “nothing is too big or too small (as long as it is legal)”. She is a specialist in travel and luxury consumer behaviour, and in developing brand strategies and partnerships.
Emma took on the role of global Chief Executive Officer for Quintessentially Lifestyle in May 2011. Based out of Hong Kong, Emma has been tasked with the expansion of the Group’s brand presence in Asia-Pacific.
Born in Singapore and raised in Hong Kong and the UK, Emma’s career began in New Zealand before moving to London in 2000 to join Mosimann’s Events. This was followed by a return to her roots in Hong Kong, securing the role of Business Development Manager at the British Chamber of Commerce. In 2005 she was approached by Quintessentially Lifestyle to oversee its Asia-Pacific expansion.
Acting as an authoritative voice on luxury trends and emerging markets Emma partakes in regular interviews on Bloomberg and with several international news titles and blogs. Her creative flair and extensive address book encompassing Hong Kong’s business and social elite have rapidly positioned her as one of Hong Kong and Asia’s most dynamic businesswomen and have helped to quickly establish the brand as a leading luxury lifestyle business in the region. Emma has a strong sense of commitment to social responsibility and is involved in a number of charitable activities under the Quintessentially Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Quintessentially Lifestyle. She also sits on the Board of The Women’s Foundation in Hong Kong.
Emma holds a BA (Hons) in History of Art and Tourism from Oxford Brookes University, England. She is a proud mother, is passionate about all things luxury and enjoys exploring the globe as well as participating in a range of competitive sports, running the London Marathon last year.
