Meet Jake, the American Internet celebrity best known for producing and hosting Vsauce3, the YouTube channel with 3.5MM subscribers and 349MM views!
About
Jake Roper is the host and producer for Vsauce3 (3.5MM subscribers, 349MM views), where he shares his excitement for the real-life science behind gaming, movies, comics, and more via ultra-cinematic explorations. As a member of the Vsauce network, which has amassed over two billion lifetime views and over 18 million subscribers worldwide to become the largest educational network on the internet, Jake and his partners are on the cutting edge when it comes to fostering curiosity, creativity, and exploration in learners of all ages.
In 2012, Jake persuaded his now-partners, Michael Stevens (Vsauce1) and Kevin Lieber (Vsauce2), that the virtual world was also deserving of Vsauce-style innovation and exploration. As the driving force behind Vsauce3, Jake brings the audience along for the excitement as he illuminates the amazing lessons to learn and facts to find in all aspects of life, even fictional ones. To truly blend those worlds, Jake has been known to enlist the help of guests such as Bill Nye, Neil deGrasse Tyson, The Muppets, Paul Rudd, Jack Black, Steve Martin, and Rihanna. He has also been featured as a speaker at VidCon, Creative Festival in Milan, TED Talks, Web Fest in Tel Aviv, Playlist Live, New York Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, New York Comic Con, and San Diego Comic Con, among other events.
Before Jake joined the world of ‘sauce-someness’, the Colorado native worked as a television producer and directed commercials for ad agencies, providing the foundation for his love of entertainment and production. What makes Jake so curious about the world? Not an easy question, but it may be worth noting that when Jake was 8 years old, he watched every medical and surgery video the library had.
Jake currently resides in Los Angeles, CA where he continues to write, host, produce and edit videos to ensure each episode of Vsauce3 is a truly fascinating and enriching journey worth embarking on with his audience.
