Dr Kevin CH Lau is the Founder & Medical Director of Trinity Medical Centre, a leading provider of one-stop supreme healthcare services located in the heart of Central, Hong Kong. Established in 2016, the centre offers a wide range of comprehensive and premier quality health care services including imaging and diagnosis, healthcare assessment programs laboratory services and genetics testing. Lau is the Chairman of Make-A-Wish® Hong Kong, a charity that was founded 19 years ago to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions in Hong Kong and Macau. In addition to his role in Hong Kong, he also serves as a Member of the Make-A-Wish International (MAWI) Corporate Alliance Committee, MAWI Medical Advisory Committee and MAWI Global Impact Committee.
Lau was born in Hong Kong and received his early education locally and in Canada. He read medicine at the University of Hong Kong and completed his radiology residency training in Hong Kong. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists UK, Hong Kong College of Radiologists and Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. More recently, he earned his Master’s in Public Health and Master’s in Public Administration, both from The University of Hong Kong. Lau is an active member of several governmental bodies and currently serves as NonOfficial Member of the Women's Commission, a Steering Committee Member of the Child Development Fund, a Member of the Criminal and Law Enforcement Injuries Compensation Board, and a Member of the Industry Training Advisory Committee (Elderly Care Services). Lau's other roles include being Honorary Secretary of the HKU Medical Alumni Association, Board Member of HK Adventist Hospital Foundation, Director of Character Education Foundation, Council Member of Hong Kong Federation of Professions, Committee member of Hong Kong Medical Association Central, Western and Southern Community Network, Honorary Advisor and Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of HK Sunrise, Elder of Island Evangelical Community Church and Advisor at the HKU Faith & Global Engagement Centre. As a passionate believer in contributing to the community, Lau has also served and worked with charities such as Mother’s Choice, Po Leung Kuk Orphanage, Watchdog Early Learning & Development Centre and Kely Support Group.
All volunteer hours must be completed from 1 December 2017 to 1 May 2018.
Lunch and a visit to the Trinity Medical Centre in Central will be held from 12:45-3pm on 12 May 2018.
The cost will be HK$200 per person to cover the running cost of the program.
