Robin is the Executive Director at Foodlink Foundation, an NGO that helps Hong Kong reduce food waste and fight poverty
About
Robin joined Foundlink Foundation (www.foodlinkfoundation.org) as Executive Director in 2010, a leading hunger relief charity in Hong Kong. Foodlink's goal is to fight hunger and poverty by minimizing food wastage. The organization collects surplus and donated food from various hotels and F&B outlets and delivers it to shelters and to the needy, thereby generating a sustainable food-recycling system.
Foodlink's beneficiaries include homeless individuals living in shelters, street-sleepers, migrants, asylum seekers, the unemployed, the elderly and disenfranchised individuals/families.
As Executive Director, Robin is responsible for overseeing the strategic mission and growth of Foodlink, and seeking the support of sponsors and donors in order to uphold Foodlink's charitable objectives.
Aside from volunteering at Foodlink Foundation, Robin works in the field of real estate development after having received her B.A. from Williams College and her M.Sc. in Real Estate Investment and Finance from The University of Hong Kong. She is currently working on a new mixed-use development in Shanghai, with a focus on providing a service-oriented and activities enclave for enriching lives, due for completion in 2015.
Requirements
All volunteer hours must be completed during April to August 2014.
