背景資料

Under the pandemic, WEDO GLOBAL has started the We Mask Action project to train and employ grassroots Hong Kong ethnic minorities to become WEDO Sewing Ambassadors to co-create culturally vibrant mask covers. We aim to promote cultural diversity and social inclusion. In the long run, we hope to reduce waste and be more eco-friendly. In addition, we adopt “buy-one-donate-one” approach, one-half of the We Mask Covers sold to customers, the other half would be donated to grassroots senior citizens, low-income families of ethnic minority and other needy groups to bring love and care to them under the pandemic.

It helps to increase the awareness of our brand as well as the inclusion works that we have been doing. Through the We Mask Covers handmade by the local ethnic minority community members who contribute their skills and time to the society during this pandemic, it supports them to better integrate into the local society.
