背景資料

ArtsFund is a funding opportunity for NGOs in Hong Kong to promote art activities among vulnerable populations. The Nesbitt Centre provides support to adults with learning disabilities. Art is an amazing medium to engage people with special needs. Our team is working on a funding proposal to apply by the end of August 2022. We are looking for volunteers with some experience in fundraising or writing official documents for Social Welfare Department.

我們可提供的資源

We can provide a computer with an internet connection at our centre.

對我們的意義

Our team has little experience in writing fundraising proposals. We are looking for someone who can support us and advise us on the technical aspects of the proposal. Winning the grant would allow us to create an engaging art program for people with disabilities.

我們的工作

The Nesbitt Centre (TNC) is a day activity centre that aims to provide lifelong education for individuals with disabilities and support them in integrating back within the community. The programme we implement is called the “Preparation for Life'' programme. At the core of the programme are six pillars: Planning for the Future, Life Skills, Independent Living, Vocational Education, Structured Workplace Learning and Recreation and Leisure. These pillars are designed to enrich our learners with the necessary skills to live more independently and empower them to advocate for themselves.
