Coordinate sustainability efforts in education, operation and reporting within the school
The Harbour School’s (“THS”) Social Impact and Sustainability Program (“SISP”) hopes to demonstrate that the set-up of a sustainability program in each school on a whole-school approach could be a unique and strategic opportunity to directly involve those who are sometimes left behind in this global movement of racing towards sustainable development - our children.
The SISP Team and other volunteer teachers will provide support and guidance to the volunteer during each assigned task/project.
SISP helps THS to bring sustainability education to all stakeholders including the students, parents, teachers, administrators and the wider community.

The Harbour School’s (THS) Social Impact and Sustainability Program (SISP) aspires a long-term school-wide movement and program on community service and sustainability, with the goal to give insight and inspiration to the other educators that an action-oriented plan for social impact and sustainability in a school set-up is feasible and can bring about meaningful change. In 2019, THS started Project Hope led by teacher Mr. Rafi Cristobal, which aimed to cultivate interest in community service and inspire volunteerism at THS. THS mobilized the school community to engage in community service events through simple classroom activities that are naturally occurring, part of the school, and integral to students' learning process. With the tremendous support of THS's school management, Rafi and his team proposed to expand Project Hope and launched the Social Impact and Sustainability Program (SISP) in August 2021 where Rafi currently serves as the Program's Director. SISP expands its scope beyond teaching and learning in the classroom into a multi-role interdisciplinary project, ensuring the implementation of sustainability in both curricula and school operation, while partnering with other organisations to promote sustainability to the community.
