Recruiting empathic listeners to provide support to HKDSE students and parents
The Empathy Counselling Hotline service (Empathy HKDSE) launched in 1997. We provide hotline counselling services for HKDSE students and their parents with updated information on studies and career development. We also provide emotional support to overcome pressure and frustration on life planning. There are 16 hotlines (10 for students and 6 for parents) under the supervision of registered social workers and experienced mentors.
We are going to provide 20 hours of training courses and day camp to equip volunteers with basic counselling skills. In addition, our experienced mentors will offer role-play exercises and feedback to each volunteer to train their counselling skills. For further information about the dates and time for interview, training and services, please view here: https://bit.ly/364JgU4
With the help of volunteers, we can provide qualified emotional support to students and parents during the release of HKDSE results and JUPAS main-round offer.
