A volunteer with interest or experience in managing virtual events using Zoom and who can encourage and support participants to participate in the activities on the day.
Every year, Resolve convenes and provides support to 20 extraordinary and diverse individuals from the community as part of our social justice fellowship program. They have strong interest and potential for social justice leadership and are committed to the theme of the year. This year, our fellowship is on the theme of disABILITY and empowerment. Each year, the fellowship explores a different theme, but the model stays the same: a program that combines human rights education, campaigning skills and leadership development. It is a community for mutual support and learning and we offer 8 group workshops and mentoring to help the fellows build their capacity and leadership for social justice.
We have the tools and experience designing and facilitating interactive virtual events that build an intimate and supportive community for developing social justice leadership. In each event, you can learn from community leaders, mentors and fellows from diverse walks of life and gather new insights on social justice and inclusion. We adopt a human rights based approach and a participatory approach in our work.
COVID-19 has brought us the new normal and the opportunity to try new ways of creating meaningful experiences and connections. The fellowship events are adapted and converted into an online format whilst keeping the interactive and safe space for the emerging social justice leaders for mutual support and learning. This volunteer role is essential to the facilitation of the interactive activities during the online events. You will also help create an accessible learning and sharing environment for fellows with different accessibility needs and support building a new pipeline of social justice leaders in Hong Kong.
