Help with the development of the site by managing, maintaining and implementing best practices for trees and plants
Our 90acre commercial site, nestled between Tai Lam Country Park and the Gold Coast, is blessed with many trees, plants and flowers. When joining our programmes or visiting the café and shop, many also people enjoy coming here because of this natural environment. The site needs continual management, and we are also currently developing the site in various ways to help people understand more about Global issues, to envision them and enable them to take action. https://www.crossroads.org.hk/home/our-work/
The necessary tools and resources will be provided on site. We are happy to discuss the projects in more detail with volunteers before they commit. Scheduling and times are flexible according to the volunteer's availability. The working hours is flexible according to the volunteers' own availability, no time commitment is required. However, it would be appreciated if the volunteers could work 2-3 times per week. The role of helper in Gardening / Landscaping / Forestry is ongoing, we would welcome longer commitment if possible. Dress code: Dress appropriately for work e.g. T-shirts / medium or long pants / closed shoes (runners) for warehouse safety. To respect the many cultures represented onsite, we ask that no one wears short shorts/skirts or spaghetti straps. Men, please do not remove your shirts if you get hot. There is no need for formal attire. Additionally, please bring mosquito repellent, sun/rain protection, personal water bottle which can be refilled at various water stations around the site.
Part of this development includes developing the vegetation and landscaping and will contribute towards attracting more people to come to Crossroads and be a part of our mission.

Crossroads Foundation is a Hong Kong based, non-profit organisation serving global need. We believe that, in a broken world that sees too much suffering, we should do all we can to link those who are in need with those who can provide help. So we provide an intersection, literally a crossroads, to bring both together. • Global Distribution: This distributes Hong Kong's quality excess goods as needed, internationally and locally. It provides a crossroads between need and supply. • Global X-perience: This offers simulated x-periences of global need. It provides a crossroads between the lifestyles of the rich and poor. • Global Handicrafts: This sells fair trade goods from people in poverty. It is a crossroads between those needing a fair income and those with buying power. • Global Hand: This provides a 'matching' website for public- private partnerships. It is a crossroads between for-profit and non-profit organizations who wish to address global need.
