背景資料

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting Hong Kong's cultural heritage. Our mission is to raise awareness about the importance of preserving historical memory. In 2015, an unexpected diary from 1944 was discovered in a tenement slated for demolition, revealing a previously unknown piece of history. The diary's author was a Chinese officer who participated in the D-Day landings during World War II. Through our research and preservation efforts, we aim to uncover and reintroduce this forgotten chapter of history to the public. To this end, we will be organizing a series of exhibitions to share these important historical findings with the people of Hong Kong, helping them better understand the cultural roots of our city.

我們的工作

We are a non-profit organization that is dedicated to protecting Hong Kong's cultural heritage. We aim to raise awareness about the importance of transmitting memory. In 2015, when an unexpected diary from 1944 was discovered in a tenement building slated for demolition, it revealed a previously unknown piece of history. The diary's author, Lin Ping-Yu, had participated in the D-Day landings, one of the largest military operations in human history, as a Chinese soldier fighting on the European front during World War II. Through our ongoing historical research and preservation efforts, we hope to uncover and reintroduce this forgotten chapter of history to the public. To this end, we will be organizing a series of exhibitions to share these important historical findings with the people of Hong Kong, allowing them to better understand the cultural roots of our city.
