背景資料

As an environmental organization, we want to do away with physical namecards and move to e-namecards. However, we found that the running costs of such service can be high over time. Thus, we are considering developing our own system. Since we don't have IT expertise in our Executive Committee (all pro-bono volunteers), we are looking for advice on how to proceed. Examples of platforms we have looked at: https://blinq.me/; https://www.hihello.com/features/digital-business-cards; https://www.dibiz.com/. We would only require the basic features such as standardized layout, online management portal to easily create/amend name cards contents, QR code generator, etc.

We have 1 Executive Committee member who is well versed in IT (but does not work in the IT field) who will be leading the project. She will be discussing and seeking advice from the IT consultant volunteer, and will be the person overseeing the development of the program.

對我們的意義

As mentioned earlier, we are an environmental organization, and using physical namecards nowadays does not reinforce our beliefs. Using e-namecards enables us to actively demonstrate to our contacts and acquaintances our values and beliefs. We are hoping that having our own platform will be more financially viable than subscribing to commercial platforms currently available in the market.
