• Flag day will be on 28 Sep (Sat), 7:00am - 12:00pm
• Engage with the public and introduce our service to maximise their donations
• Volunteers aged 14 or under must be accompanied by a guardian and share one flag bag
• A certificate will be given upon completion
• Public liability and public accident insurance will be provided for all participating volunteers
• Details for flag bag collection and drop off will be confirmed via WhatsApp

Economic uncertainty, inflationary pressures, soaring costs of living… all these factors further exacerbate the deteriorating mental health in Hong Kong. Mounting social and economic woes are making people more vulnerable to emotional distress, even suicidal thoughts. Recent statistics show an average of 3 people resort to suicide every day, embarking on the road of no return. Our 24-hour Suicide Prevention Hotline Service recently received nearly 10,000 calls a month, indicating an accelerating need for our services.Suicide Prevention Services (SPS) is organising its Flag Day on 28 September 2024 (Saturday) in the Kowloon region. The theme “Life is a Merry-Go-Round” encourages people to embrace life's ups and downs. Fund raised from flag selling will be used to sustain and enhance our services to support suicidal and distressed individuals. We hope to raise social awareness on suicide and spread the message of cherishing life through this Flag Day.Please join us with your friends and family to save lives with us by becoming a volunteer or making a direct donation. To acknowledge your support, all volunteers will receive a Certificate of Appreciation.
