Provide pre-event support and assist on-site at our symposium on 22 Mar 2025
Project Change provides holistic support to youths arrested in the 2019 social movement in Hong Kong, including psychosocial counselling, legal referral support, and a comprehensive reintegration program. We are of the firm belief that supporting this cause has wider implications for society, for to ignite hope for our young people is to ignite hope for Hong Kong.
Briefing session and event rundown will be provided.
Project Change intends to host a symposium to create an embracive and safe space to hear the unspoken experiences of the young people and their families in coping with their unexpected arrests and the aftermaths. In addition, some key stakeholders from different professions and sectors would share their roles and direct experience in supporting the youths to make a difference in life after the arrest.

Over 10,000 people were arrested during the 2019 social movement in Hong Kong, of which around 6,500 were under the age of 25. Project Change is a boutique NGO that aims to help these 6,500 youths overcome hardships. Founded in 2020, our strictly politically neutral services include psychosocial counselling and family therapy, legal support, and a comprehensive reintegration program that helps youths identify life opportunities in education and career development. To date, we have provided services to around 300 individuals, including supporting over 130 youths and 150+ of their loved ones. Project Change is steered by a cross-disciplinary team of professionals, with expertise in social work, therapy, psychiatry and legal services.
